Hi
Embarking on my first pc build and so far every thing seems to be going well, but I have a couple of questions regarding connecting the power supply to the mother board. I have the following components:
Antec P180 Advanced Super Midi Tower Case
OCZ GameXStream 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply
Asus GeForce 8800 GTS HTDP 320MB
Intel Extreme D975XBX2KR BAD AXE 2 975X Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz
Plus hard drive, sound card and DVD drive
The main cable from the power supply has a ten pin connector marked "motherboard", but it also has an editional 2pin connector marked "24". This "24" connector appears to be design to lock into the 10 pin connector allowing the creation of a 12 pin connector. My question is what do I do?? do I just plug in the 10 pin connector and dissregard the editional "24" connector or do I put them together to make a 12 pin connector and plug that in?
Thanks in advance
