Connecting PS3 via HDMI to DVI?

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can connect the PS3 via HDMI - DVI conector.

Will I be able to use a HDMI - DVI lead to my TFT monitor?

I have a Sammy 226BW with HDCP support.

With HDCP yes.

Any HDMI-DVI lead will be fine. The PS3 has a standard HDMI port on the back.

Just a stereo midi system, left & right phono!

You will need a PS3 AV cable as well as the HDMI-DVI cable. In the sound settings menu, you will have to set the sound to go through the AV cable. The AV cable is shown here, the yellow connector obviously won't be used though.

okay thanks for your help. Will I get that lead (composite) with the PS3 as standard or is it only with the US console?

I have a US PS2 with the same lead, will that do?

The AV cable comes with the PS3 and is identical to the one with your PS2
