Hey all,

Trying to connect up my DS4 to my PC using a cheap bluetooth adapter from Amazon.

Can't seem to get it to work at all, followed all the tutorials online and it just either sits flashing in pairing mode or when it goes off just doesnt do anything?

Am I missing something?

Cheers,

Dan

I don't know much about this but on the PS4 you have to initially pair it with a cable. It could be the same for PC.

Something else to try is download the PlayStation Now or PS4 Remote Play client which will install drivers for the DualShock 4 and see if you can get it to pair then.

Tried the first with no luck.

Will give that a shot later :)

It works while plugged in FYI

I assume you're using DS4Windows? As the PS4 controller isn't officially supported on PC.

Do you still need that these days? With Steam games it's redundant and quite a few non-Steam games support it natively. I've never had to use it so far. Mind you, I'm sat only a few feet from my PC so always use the DS4 with a cable.

As far as I'm aware (I could be wrong), cabled PS4 controllers are fine and work with a Windows generic controller driver, but the blueooth still needs the hacked wireless 360 driver.

Tried pairing a PS4 controller to my rig using both my boards onboard Bluetooth and a few USB adapters, gave up in the end, read something about a hacked 360 driver as Benjii says but gave up in the end.

Bought a 360 wired controller from a boot sale for £1 which works a treat. :)

Yeah i've been sourcing some 360 controllers for the HTPC for 4 player co-op games, but will PS4 controller works fine when wired in to main PC and i'll only ever be sat at a desk for that so jobs a goodun! :)

Been using a DS4 via bluetooth for a few years now, you need to put it into pairing mode then search for bluetooth devices from your pc then select it from there, if it asks for a code use 0000.

As for DS4Windows, it's not needed anymore with Steams built in DS4 support.
