This could go into pc section or console so sorry if wrong place here.

I want to use my ps4 little more than I do with uncharted 4 coming soon now is the time to get this setup. I would like to still use my pc desktop etc and teamspeak so am thinking external console capture hardware? Audio isn't an issue because the soundblaster z has input support for optical

Does anyone here use there ps4 with pc?

Thanks

If you're wanting to play the PS4 and play/use the PC side by side then capture software isn't the way to go, they introduce too much lag.

Easiest way is if you have dual monitors, just plug the PS4 into one of them.

People who capture their gameplay are playing and recording on different monitors.

Source button on the monitor is a good shout - technically less buttons that alt tab.

But using source button on monitor I won't be able to use teamspeak same time with headphones.. Games audio will come from monitor, while teamspeak will come from pc I can't mix them?

Unless I plug ps4 into monitor and use optical in on sound card for audio will they be a delay?

Why not get a second monitor and then have the PS4 on one and your PC on the other and when you aren't using the PS4 you'll have two monitors for your PC.

I want to be able to stay in teamspeak and talk with friends while using headphones. The good news is I have sorted it just need to buy 10m hdmi cable, and hdmi splitter.

I have a spare 10m optical cable so I tested ps4 connected to the input of my soundblaster z I was able to mix this sound into my default sound so pc+ps4 was playing together :D I left the ps4 connected to TV for testing lag and it was perfect.
