Hi - apologies if this is a daft question. I'm looking to purchase a HP pavillion quad hd monitor and hook up my surface pro 4 to it with a microdisplay port to display port cable. The monitor has a display port 1.2 input, but no speakers and no 3.5mm jack So, if I do this, can I connect wired speakers to the 3.5mm jack on the surface, or will the audio effectively be turned 'off' by the microdisplay port connection?
