Connecting to a Mates Router

Guys,
Is it possible to connect to my mates BT Voyager 205 Router over the internet directly without having to use Remote Desktop Sharing/Assistance.
The reason for this is to set the router up remotely for him.

If his router allows remote management then yes. You'll have to configure the router to allow this if it supports it.
