My USB adaptor for my desktop has suddenly stopped working, so I was wondering if I could somehow connect to the internet through my laptop via cable?

I have tried connecting the two with an Ethernet cable, but I couldn't find any options to connect.

On your laptop, bridge the internet ethernet ports together. The computer should then automatically pick the connect up, if not, do an 'ipconfig /release' and then and 'ipconfig /renew'

Here's a screenshot I took of what I'm on about:

I tried that and I get an error saying "To create a Network Bridge, you must select at least two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections that are not being used by internet connection sharing."

I still get this after disabling ICS on both computers.
