We have several laptops that connect to our domain wirelessly. However one does not connect properly until it is logged in.

How can I make it connect to the network before the user logs in ?

Mine all usually do - not sure why just one of yours wouldn't!

Have you tried logging in locally (e.g. as Administrator) and checking the connection's setup ok there?

Sorry should have said the laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V2000 with an onboard Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG.

Yeah it does work on any other machine. Have checked all the network settings andd is fine.

When the user first logs on after switching on, then they dont get any network, but then they see the network connect and pick up an IP. If they then log off and back in then everything is fine.

there should be an option inside the wireless network settings to allow "conenct to network when in range".

However it is on by default if your using the built in XP one.
