Connecting to VPN stops my internet working

Im on Vista and when i setup this new vpn so i can access a ftp from home etc it connects but as soon as it does the wireless internet connection disables. If i disconnect from the VPN the internet comes straight back on. This works on my XP machine to the same vpn and on the same wireless network, what do I have to change on Vista to get this to work?

Probably because by initating and connecting to the RRAS server it changes the routing table so the default route is to go via the VPN connection.

Right click the VPN connection, properties. Networking tab, select Internet Protocol 4, click properties, click Advanced. Now uncheck Use Default gateway on remote network.
