Connecting to Xbox live in an incredibly complicated way

Im wondering if this is possible and how I would go about doing it.
Connect my 360 to my pc by ethernet cable which in turn is connected to the internet by a wireless access point to a router in another room.

Possible?

Yes, it's possible. I assume you'll just use ICS on the PC?

... and that's how i'm doing it at the moment, so yes.. it is possible.

ICS = Internet Connection Sharing.

Did mine that way by bridging the connections.

i just cabled the pc and xbox and chose to share the wireless connection, works fine
