Got my new 32" Miria today, and can't seem to get sound to come out through either the PC or the VGA lead for my 360 :( Component is fine tho, so I can't understand the problem?

Any help appreciated

Mods sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Cheers

There should be some audio out connections on your Xbox you need to connect them to some speakers, someone with more xbox knowledge will be able to advise u futher im sure

Yea the red and white wire off the vga lead you need to plug into an audio source i think, most Hi-Fis have the input for them

Yup there should be red and white phono leads that will either plug into the back of your TV for a separate sound kit.

EDIT: too slow :p

Yep that's what I thought but when I plug those leads into the back of the TV, it still doesn't give me any sound :( It works with the component audio cables, but not with either the VGA ones, or ones from my PC.....

I'm completely stumped, and unfortunately the leads won't reach my HiFi :(

The inputs on the TV will be for use with another connection, e.g. composite or component. The TV wont use those audio inputs if you are connecting via VGA. It's the same on my Samsung LCD TV.

If there is a 3.5mm connector on the TV you can buy an adaptor to use that, or get extensions so you can connect the lead to your stereo.

Ok fair enough, although it has two sets of audio inputs (one for Component and one below the VGA connection)??

Yep it has a 3,5mm connector, so I'll have to invest in an adapter, cheers

I would have thought it would have worked if you plugged it in the inputs next to the VGA port.

EDIT: Never mind they where audio outputs on my Samsung. You need the 3.5mm stereo cable like the OP said.
