im confused, are you connecting it to your PC, which as a wired connection to the router?

If so, i had firewall problems, but if you trying to transfer images and video, u need either xp with SP2 or media center.

you need to bridge you internet connection and your LAN(hold ctrl and click on each one) that should do the trick.

Hope this helps.

to pick up the PC you need to have either XP with service pack 2, or media center editions. You also need to download the software for it from MS.

hmmm, i cant remeber what i did to get mine to work properly. You need to scan for PC's on the 360 control panel, on the system tab, and it should pic it up. you should also get some message about file sharing on your pc? not too sure

Which router ?

I had to forward the ports to get the 360 to see my pc, UDP 88 and TCP 3074 iirc.
On my Netgear DG834GT i had to set up the services and then set the firewall rules.
Can supply s/shots if needed.

That would be useful.

Just about to set my 360 up for online soon and I have the same router.

Brilliant stuff, many thanks!!!.

Now, if you could just take me through how I get my DG834 to connect up to uTorrent like I see you have done in yer screenies, I would bow down to you!!!. Instead of cluttering the thread with a response to my *off topic/non-console related* question, my email is in trust if you get a spare 5 mins.

Currently using uTorrent opening a random port, not sure if allowing it within the router settings/rules will speed things up any?.

Apologies for going off topic!!!.
