Connection drop, noisey phone line.....

Right, Ive had this problem for a few months but its got worse lately.

Sometimes I turn on my router and theres no connection, other times it drops all of a sudden.

Just noticed today when I plug in my router while listening on the phone I hear quiet modem like noises and crackling, is this normal? Or the cause of the problem? any help muchly appreciated.

Sounds like you need new microfilters.

Just changed that from another in the hall.

Hmm was thinking its was a noisey phone line, but I just noticed its always noisey if the internet is online.

Almost certainly sounds like the filters aren't filtering out all the ADSL stuff frequencies from the phone side.

It now appears to be constant noise, I suppose that could drop the connection?

Ive reported a fault to BT, hope it sorts it.
