Connection Dropping

I have a problem with my internet connection. Everytime I go and try to play online games the connection seems to drop. For instance Steam, I would try and connect to a server and the server window will appear saying 'Server Unavailable'. I would then load IE and it wouldnt have any connectivity. This only happens with my games. COD, CSS, BF2 the lot. Does anyone know what this problem is? It is really starting to **** me off cos I dont get much online time as it is and when I do I end up just switching the comp off becasue of it.

Connection is a BT 1MB ADSL. Only one available in my area. Modem is the BT Voyager 205.

No it isn't. Once again, BT Retail are not the only ADSL ISP.

Could be the game making too many connections and crashing the router. Would certainly fit the symptoms.

I wouldnt know where to look for an ADSL Broadband Modem which would work with my connection.

Linksys is probably your best bet, but if you've got lots of money, Cisco is the way to go.

Bought a Linksys ADSL2+ Modem router. We had one at uni, router only, and it was pretty darn good. So, we will see.
