i've been on bt max now for about 4 months and my connection is always dropping, on average i would say around 4 or 5 times an evening which is a pain if i am doing any online gaming, i've had 3 bt home hubs and have now got a voyager 2500v which is better than the home hub but still drop's the connection.
i've contacted bt loads of times and they can't find anything wrong, here are my router stats, i haven't got a clue whether they are good or not, can anyone see a problem with them or suggest anything i could do :)

no fault has been raised they keep telling me everything checks out ok, i'll try the router at the master socket to see if that make a difference.
sorry i don't know what you mean by does it loose sync, how can i tell ?, all i know is there is a clip from the router it drops the connection and then reconnects again shortly after :)

anyone else got any ideas, i've tried the router at the master socket and it's made no difference, today alone the router has dropped the connection 4 times, do you think it's worth complaining to bt about this or is it something i'm just going to have to accept ,i'm on a fairly long line about 5km from exchange. :)

the stats that i posted are the ones taken from the face plate and yes that was from the master socket with the face plate removed, BT have done several line tests and always say that everything is testing fine ,do you think the attenuation is so bad because of the line length approx 5km ?
the thing is when i was on 1meg std connection i didn't get any line drops, it's getting silly now i've now had 12 today.

i checked the router stats earlier today and still got a attenuation of 60db, ive just checked again and it's dropped right down

no the router is a bt voyager 2500v, i've just logged on again and the attenuation is back at 60db, the firmware was updated a couple of days ago and it made no difference, i'm gonna call bt again in the morning i'm not interested in speed i would just like the connection to be stable like it was before i went onto bt max.

yes i think thats what i'm going to ask them to do ,go back to having a fixed connection, i'm only getting around 1.3meg most of the time anyway and i was getting 1meg before with no connection dropouts.

engineer called today and basically told me a load of rubbish he said my downstream line attenuation is 56db which he said was very good for the length of my line which i found out is about 2.5km, i thought it was around 4.5km, he also wasn't happy that the ring wires had been disconnected behind the face plate and said that this was probably why the connection was dropping, i disconnected these wires after reading that they serve no purpose and having them disconnected can sometimes help with noise on the line.
anyway it's no better at all, i rang bt and asked for my mac code but i'm still contracted till October, any idea how i stand with that as they have failed to supply me with a reliable connection.
