I'm having a problem with my Internet connection. Every now and then, my connection will stop working. I've recently reinstalled windows 7, and I haven't experienced the problem before the reinstall.
I'm on a wireless network, with a couple of other computers, which are working fine. It seems as if the wireless network adapter (a wireless-g linksys USB adapter) stops working. The device manager doesn't show anything unusual though, and the troubleshoot cannot solve the problem. Sometimes, unplugging and reinserting the adapter works to resolve the issue, but not always. Only rebooting works. It should be noted that when rebooting after the problem occurs, the computer will get stuck at "shutting down", and I have to reset the machine.
I've tried installing the chipset drivers from my motherboard manufacturer, and the adapter drivers from Linksys, but I still have to problem. I've also tried another adapter of the same model, but the problem persisted.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
