Connection drops randomly

What the hell is wrong with this piece of ****? After a while the connection just seems to die then its ok after a bit. VERY annoying for games as itll drop the connection then randomly come back on. If it doesnt then a power off and on of the router is required.

Im with NTL using a D link DI-604 router

keep a close check on the led's on your router. if the upload and download led's go out, then the lights flash in sequence - its your modem. my old ntl home:100 modem has started doing it a lot lately. i think im gonna need a new one pretty soon.

ive turned off windows firewall and its not cacked up yet. maybe just coincidense though

I have same problem with D Link hardware... Mine was D Link DL-604.

Basically dont bother with D Link they rubbish, trust me I know. I dont know about their new hardware but D Link are useless :mad:

gone back to old firmware. touch wood, no probs.... yet
