connection drops when comp is turned off/on help plse

k im on blueyonder 10mb b/b,i have 2 comps i have connected to a linksys befsr41.ver 3 4 port router.

all works fine until i switch off my comp then when its been off for a few hrs or if both comps are turned off, then i come to turn one on again i doesnt connect to the internet the only way i can get them working again is if i log into the routers address and then release the dhcp and then renew it and save it again and then all works fine.

i had it all working fine until my isp went down due to the weather and now it does this is there anyway to avoid having to release and renew the dhcp

any help much appreciated thx in advance guys

k quick update it also drops out now when both comps are on and when i do all i have to do is go into the linksys router setup screen and click refresh and all goes back to normal is anyway to have it so it just works all the time without having to refresh it.

also noticed a setting for client lease time which at mo is set to '0' which apparently means 1 day is it possible that this is the problem as tbh it does seem to be approx 1 day and then does a drop out if so can it be disabled.

factory reset on the router?

Look for any time out settings.

Also, that lease might be to do with you IP address, it keeps trying to renew it or something.

Try changing it to the maximum value and seeing what happens.

think i may have it sorted it guys just typed in 99999 in the time lease on the router and non of the x2 comps have dropped out at all whether they are left on or turned off
