First of all, hi to everyone, this is my first post in these forums, along with my first purchase from overclockers last week (and very pleased with my gaming PC i am too)
My problem is that i am unable to connect to Crysis 2, i keep getting 'check network connection'. I thought it was issues with the game, not my connectivity. So i tried to play the game on Gamespy Comrade and when i tried to connect to Gamespy it also came up with the 'check network connection' message.
My wireless connection works fine when im browsing the internet. I have tried disabling Firewall and also my Avast software. This doesn't fix the problem. I have read that my router (D-Link 2640R) has its own Firewall, is this the case? I also believe that i can connect to the router and open ports (or port forwarding) allowing the game to use the ports that it wants to use. Do you think this will help and do you have any other suggestions?
Any advise would be much appreciated
Thanks
