Connection loss from PC to Router ?

I get intermitant connection loss from my PC to Router ( no pattern to it - can be fine for days , then can be every few hours 1 day ) .

Switching the ethernet cable to a different port on the router has no effect , the only thing i can do is unplug , then replug the power on the router to solve it.

Strange thing is that when the connection is lost from PC to Router , i can still access the internet via the Router on my wireless laptop.

So the connection to internet is still "live" and online , so the router is behaving.

Any ideas what would cause this ?

try updating the firmware on your router, or search for known problems with the router you are using.

It sounds just like the problems I was having with my Vigor 2800. I updated the firmware and all was well.
