Connection Port?

Hi All.
Just wondering which connection ports do you guys use to display your PC to your monitor?

Reason i ask is that i am currently using HDMI and i noticed that sometimes my monitor refuses to pick up a signal when the pc is powered on. Basically it likes to power up when it likes but once its on its fine.

Should i be using HDMI or would i be better off using DVI?

DVI always seems less problematic than HDMI.

Whenever you see a thread with someone having problems with display resolutions etc. they're nearly always using HDMI.

The advantage of using HDMI is that it carries an audio signal if your display has built in speakers.

There's no difference in image quality.

HDMI and DVI are electrically compatible.

The only difference is that HDMI can carry audio.

But as I said, DVI is easier to set up.
