I reinstalled xp sp2 but when it booted up I got the infamous "Limited or no connectivity" problem with the auto ip of 254.169 or whatever it is.
I have tried everything known to man after spending 2 days trawling the net looking for answers. I have assigned static ip's reinstalled drivers, tried a new NIC, installed the sp2 fix, rebooted and powered off everything numerous times to no avail.
Today I connected my laptop via a cable and it worked first time ... the only difference from before that I can see is that my admin account is no longer called Administrator but is now my name, but surely this wouldn't matter would it?
Does anyone have any ideas?
