Connection problems steam games

This last week i've been having problems playing steam game servers , they either stall on sending client info or " connection problems " within 1min of actually joining a server.

This is happening in all servers , i thought the install of windows vista 64 would possibly fix that but no

Does it just disconnect, or do you get a hl2.exe crash / game exits?

Stalls on sending client info , end up clicking on cancel taking too long

If i do actually get on any server whatever game within 1min i get " connection problems " and its back to the server list.

No crashing

Seems to be working now , forwarded steam ports in router... strange though cause steam itself worked fine
