Hi
I am in the process of re-building a pc for a friend and am building it at my home, easier etc.
I will be installing all his software, windows and all the updates etc etc.
I will be using my network at home to connect his PC to the internet to validate windows and get all the necessary updates, using cable (blueyonder) via a linksys router.
My question is this, when I drop it round to his place how will I be able to then connect back to the internet?
He uses cable as well and when he dropped to me to show me the problems he was experiencing it detected my network but was un-able to connect and want to ensure that when I drop it back to him I will be able to configure his connection corretly.
I have had to do a complete strip down on his pc, re-build it and am in the process of re-formatting his hard drive for a fesh install of windows XP Pro.
What will be the best way forward to achive this? I will admit that this side of things is a bit beyond me so any help is greatly appreciated
