connection seems to be odd.

well yesterday my brother would connect from the net every hour but it wont effect me now i have the same problem today, and it wont effect him :confused:

..why is this?

we are using the same router as well. and server is with VM

well my brother was..but his fine now..so im loosing my connection every hour...it started froday.

Are you connected to the router via a cable or using wireless?

What are you both doing at the time of the disconnect; are you just browsing lightly or are one/both of you trying to use bittorrent, skype, spotify or some other P2P software?

well im on EvEonline, and browsing here.. i aint on skype..but uisng msn too and facebook

When you are suddenly disconnected, pull the network plug from the PC, wait a moment, then re-plug it back in.
Does it work again then?

Reboot the router too...........

Is DHCP lease time expiring and not getting renewed?
Check in router settings under DHCP.
See if you can give it a longer lease time?
