Mooching... in your house
Hi chaps, hoping someone can help me out a bit here...

Connected to my Netgear DG834 router (most of the time) is:

• Xbox 360
• iPhone
• iPad
• netbook

All connected wirelessly.

Now, a few times a day, the connection goes proper rubbish... And is resolved by either disconnecting and reconnecting in the case of the Apple gizmos, which I'm guessing is the iPhone and iPads fault, but if the xbox connection goes to crap (connection issues in online games) then a quick on/off at the router sorts it...

All in all, I just want a consistent Internet connection... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The loading bar on the iPhone/iPad doesn't move (at all) and on the xbox I get loads of dropouts...

nothing but grief here with an iplod....turning it off and on again (not just sleep) resolves it 99% of the time. With the xbox it's the same. Last resort is reset the router. However I have noticed it's usually due to the neighbours wifi changing channels about the same time, ours is set to a specific channel.

Hi MuGen, if it was me l'd run a RJ45 cable for your Xbox 360, wireless is no good for gaming, just tuck the cable under neath the edge of the carpet, the rest fine. Have you installed the latest firmware for your router, Xbox, etc, try re-installing the router and see that solves it.
