Hey guys,
I’ve been helping a mate setup his BT Home Hub/Internet/Email etc, lately since he changed ISP’s.
We’ve had endless problems, most of which I’ve sorted or they have sorted themselves out
But the latest one is (For me) a real poser…
He sent me an email yesterday morning and by the afternoon he had no net access – despite the status being good on the Home Hub/test router? I thought it might just have been his MAX setting itself up (he’s only been connected 11 days), because he’s gone from 2 MB to syncing straight away at 8 MB. He can see his exchange across the road from his office window
The problem now seems to be that web sites just keep timing out, but the really weird thing is that we could only login to the Home Hub/test router in Safe Mode with Networking – they were not accessible from normal Windows or selective startup, with nothing running
I thought it may have been a firewall issue or something at first, but now I’m out of ideas?
Can anyone here help
Hope that all makes some sense…
Cheers,
SW.
