Connectivity Problem…

Hey guys,

I’ve been helping a mate setup his BT Home Hub/Internet/Email etc, lately since he changed ISP’s.

We’ve had endless problems, most of which I’ve sorted or they have sorted themselves out ;)

But the latest one is (For me) a real poser…

He sent me an email yesterday morning and by the afternoon he had no net access – despite the status being good on the Home Hub/test router? I thought it might just have been his MAX setting itself up (he’s only been connected 11 days), because he’s gone from 2 MB to syncing straight away at 8 MB. He can see his exchange across the road from his office window :mad:

The problem now seems to be that web sites just keep timing out, but the really weird thing is that we could only login to the Home Hub/test router in Safe Mode with Networking – they were not accessible from normal Windows or selective startup, with nothing running :confused:

I thought it may have been a firewall issue or something at first, but now I’m out of ideas?

Can anyone here help :(
