Im having quite a problem with my internet, I'e been having connection issues since January of this year. Firstly i thought it was plusnet who were my current isp at the time but after switching to pipex i still had the issue, now i'm with Nildram and its just the same. Anyway what is happening is from around 2:30pm untill 11pm or sometimes 12am i get very bad lag when playing games, mainly steam based games. My download speeds are fine but when i get into a game server its just woeful extreme packet loss and sometimes it lags so badly i just get diconnected frorm the server and my game crashes, i have done tracert's to all the game servers i normally play on and sometimes the packets get lost and some times they are above 70+ms. I had MaxADSL put in back in april and have really only started using my net during the day as I have been working at night, When i was with pipex they sent out a BT engineer to my house to have a look at it, but they showed up at 9am in the morning when my internet is fine. I tried explaining this to them at the time and when they conducted the tests on my line they said i had a very good line. so around 2 weeks ago i bought a new router, I was using the Netgear DG834v2 and now I have the Netgear DG834PN. I've tried replacing microfilters and anything else i've thought of but I'm at the stage now where i may aswell give up, If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
