I have a laptop & i,ve connected to a friends BT Infinity home hub & i can see all his files & all that...... but i cant connect to the internet unless i use the ethernet cable..... anybody know a solution for me to connect wirelessly?

Thx in advance Shotgun

If you can access local resources IP connectivity is fine, It's probably not resolving public FQDNs.

It COULD be the default gatway is misconfigured but unlikely if it works via cable.

Check the IP and DNS settings on your wireless network adapter are all set to obtain addresses automatically.

It might also help if that doesn't work to go to command prompt and paste the out put of the "route print" command in here.
