I ordered a C2D E6300 a few days ago, now i've just read an article which says that its not a "proper" C2D chip but the older architecture?

So which is it, is it a new chip, or just a rebadged old one which intel's marketing people are conning us about?
 
But it says "Allendale core rather than being a fully-fledged Conroe core-based Core 2 Duo" - suggesting the other chips in the C2D range are proper ones, and this is a marketing con of an older core design slotted in for the low end?

Ok, i shant worry too much, i just hope that it arrives tomorrow the company (not ocuk - they were too expensive!) has already ballsed up my delivery as it was due today!
