Hey guys

So I wipped on of my computers the other day and now the pc won't connect to the Internet. I am using wireless with a USB recover. The motherboard is asus. I am on the motherboard support cd. I don't want to install everything as some of it is junk. I have tried to install the Realtek LAN driver but that does not work

When you say 'I have tried to install the Realtek LAN driver but that does not work', do you mean that the driver won't install, or it has installed but hasn't fixed your issue?

Could you plug your computer into your router for a few mins and see if the OS pulls a driver down?

If not, try looking online (on another computer) for the drivers for your particular model of wireless device and stick it on a disk.

as cliffo88 says.....if you can, use ethernet cable to your router....the LAN driver is for that not the wireless. If you then connect the wireless device it should scan online for drivers for the wifi. And again as wazza300 says, use usb2.0 port rather than 3.0 which may need additional drivers. Also, go into Device Manager and rescan for new devices (once cable is in)
