Again this is basically parroting the results shown on XS forum, but its pretty relevant to everyone here. Obviously not my system (wish it was).. all credit goes to "FUGGER".

I'll cut to the chase:

Spec:
Mobo: Intel 975XBX (Revision 304)
CPU: Intel Conroe 2.4Ghz (Vcore 1.50v, done in BIOS no voltmods)
Cooling: Astek Vapochill LS modded
Memory: 4GB OCZ PC8000 @ SPD 1:1 or 2GB Super Talent @ SPD 1:1
GFX: X1900XTX Crossfire

Seems to do 3.33Ghz quite easily on air, which would make sense given thats what the Conroe XE is clocked at anyway.

It's definitely nice to see a next-generation chip that shows a very positive improvement over the current A64 lineup. I don't personally care whether its Intel, AMD or John Smith's World of CPUs who manufactures it - just as long as its reasonably priced and encourages competition & development.

I'm definitely looking at a Conroe & X1900 Xfire setup for my next upgrade, which has been due a couple of months anyway. :cool:
