conroe and 4ghz

has anyone else had problems with conroe at 4ghz?

mine does 3968 fine but 4ghz and over pc gets super lag and slows down

gigabyte DS3 - 441x9 F5 bois
Ram - OZ - 441 1-1 4-4-4-10
cpu volts 1.58v

I've got no idea what I'm speaking about, but would that be anything to do with a Boot Strap?

temps are around -15c.....cant really tell as mobo doesnt show minus

like in superpi i get 13.000s....but 4ghz it starts so slow like 13.567s an so on

Hmm, I know this was an issue with the Badaxe versus the P5W, at the higher FSB the Badaxe would change the boot strap (I don't why or how or what it does ) and as a result it would run significantly slower than the Asus board even though the FSB etc were all the same speed.

Can you get it to run at 4.1GHz?

it runs at 4050 at 1.58v.....would need 1.6v for 4.1ghz but mobo reboots as soon i select 1.59-1.6v for some reason

Not trying to be funny, but do you not think that you may have just reached the limit of this particular cpu.
