I don't think so. Conroe wants i965 chipset or above AFAIK.
Compatibility is far from guaranteed even with 975. It looks hit and miss unless a board states that it's compatible with Conroe/Core2.
You could try contacting ASUS and see if they know whether that board will work with Conroe.

No as the mobo cannot support 0.5V steps only 0.25V. Its possible to mod it but that involves a lot of intricate soldering work beyond most peoples ability.GStueyXR said:
Only the 975X Rev2 & new 965 chipsets support Conroe. Intels badaxe975x is the only one available right now but in a few weeks there will be plenty to choose from. Asus have just announced a couple:
