Conroe and SLI

Are there any SLI mobos about so i can use my 2 7900GTs?

If not i may flog them or trade them for a single x1900XT/7900GTX

Nvidia will not enable SLI support for Intel chipsets.

Sorry about the short answer, the reasoning was a bit odd.

"Intel chipsets do not provide enough bandwidth to support SLI"

You can also find lots about 'hacked drivers' on the web, tho I have no idea whether they work or not.

Will they not release thier own chipset thats compatible with conroe? Kinda like they did before?

they can with hacked drivers on the 975 chipset as this supplies
2x8 electrical split

its just nvidia's lame excuse
