CONROE FOR THE NEWBIE WHATS IT ALL ABOUT

HI i am sure i am not the only one in this situation

but every thread you see now more or less ends in forget the rest conroes the best lol

well i am going to be going conroe soon but have never had a intel chipset or proccesser and have loads of questions re intel and conroe

cpu i see the 6300 fsb is 1066 my amd runs at 400 i think it is 10x200 so does this means the fsb is 5 times faster

do you prep a intel cpu the same as a amd one when putting in ie paste and stuff or are they different

motherboards whats with all these chipsets 945 965 975 and so on which ones are actually ok for conroe

is their anything special you should know about installing intel drivers

ram 533 667 i see some ram is better for some core processers than others why? is the 533 and 667 the fsb of the ram as i see people saying their currentley at 366 with their duo which i dont understand as it says 1066 and the ram is either 533 or 667

is their nforce mobos or is their likely to be for intel conroe




sorry for all these questions guys but i dont wanna bodge it up getting an idea helps with bios settings and stuff and im sure im not the only one in this position

i dont wanna end up with a mobo that is incompatible and ram which is wrong

ok so in theory why is that ram faster and better than my ddr1 ram which runs at 200

and the actual proccy fsb is 266 ?


this gets more confusing

so if i didnt want to overclock and just run at stock i would need ram that runs at 1066 266 to match that of the c2d
