Hello,
Ive dropped the idea of keeping my nforce 4 mobo and wanted to buy a conroe supporting motherboard but I dont know if to get the Gigabyte GA_965P_DS4 or the asus p5w-dh deluxe, i will be overcloking both a conroe and a p4 630 (till i get money for a conroe), my question is (cos my preffernce is asus, i like amercian megatrends bios dont like phoenix) does it have the same vcore drop problems as a lot of asus mobo's and is it better to go gigabyte or to stay asus (been on asus for last 4 mobo's i think) or is there some better alternative??

Sorry for askign something that was asked probably a thousant times but couldnt find much info about the asus one exept the prob that it wont support conroes out of the box. ( dont care as ill use a p4 630 till xmas period)

EDIT: does the gigabyte really have just 1 ide plug? (or am i blind and cant see the 2nd?)I have 2 ide hdd's and one ide dvd-rw, and finally one sata hdd, i need to be able to use them all...
Edit: oh no the asus also has just one, is tehre any way i can keep my 2 hdd's + dvdrw liek they are ( dont want reinsatl lwindows on new pc jyust want all stuff to stay same (drive letter, etc...), am i forced to buy an expansion card with additional ide's?

the dq6 is just a bit more costy as the ds4, I can afford that, but has anyone experienced how the asus is like (im forced to buy a ide expansion card anyhow so nvm bout what i said before), i really want a motherboard that will clock my 630 to 3.9 (or higher, i know the chip can do it, some reports it can go upto 4.2 and be prime95 stable for 12 hours, but 3.9 at least since that was the speed i was runnign my 3.0 scott socket 478 at) till december, and near december to be able to clock a conroe/alendalle to lets say amd fx-62 speeds... I dont want the asus to drop vcore more than by 0.03 volts from bios settign when stressed.(perhaps 0.04volt, but thats the max limit, i know some asus motherboards can achieve that, my old p4c800 del. for example )
I am leaning towards the asus becourse i like their bios, and im familliar with all their features and their biosses, but then again i dont want it to go at the cost of overclock performance, if the asus has major vcore drops then no way i want it...

The Asus P5W DH Deluxe does have 2 IDE channels.

From a review of the board (link has competitor info):

Thats a relief, still need info about the overclokign part tho ,as i dont like runnign a cpu at stock, yet im forced by a motherboard that undervolts by a full 0.1 volt
