Conroe now available from OcUK!

So wait, how far would £600 pound stretch needing a new Conroe chip, mobo and ram? Are all current top range GPU's compatible and everything?

I'm getting tres excited now!

Ok this is the last thing I say about the thing BUT do you think you will be about to get Intel Bad Axe rev 3.04 in or not? I just want your opinion since you have a good idea :)

Conroe Extreme Edition has a 1333MHz Bus and is suppose to run cooler then normal Conroe so you can clock it more

Thats all I know

Stelly

You sure about the 1333MHz Bus? I thought that was only Woodcrest. OcUK lists it as: Intel Core 2 DUO Extreme Edition X6800 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.93GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-130-IN)

Ahhhh yes thats what the early previews used to say.

The Extreme Edition of the Conroe processor will operate at 3.33GHz, sport 1333MHz processor system bus and 4MB cache. Thermal envelope of the part should be 95W.
The article is dated 12th Feb 2006 so probably out of date info.

EDIT: Nevermind just read Gibbo's post.

did your mobo come today?

Got home from work, Asus mobo has been attempted to be delivered and have left a card

I hate Citylink, why not leave it at the shop next door like every other courier  .
Anyway I can drive over to manchester to pick it up after 6:30 but I might miss a delivery tonight from another place who do Amtrack nextday evening delivery ( cough * gibbo * cough ;) )

Gibbo, get the ASROCK 775 twins in! nice budget option which i may go for :D

Ditto for 45 quid there a nice little bargain, will definatly aid in people starting off Conroe oddly im sure not everyone will want to overclock....

Maybe they just want to pair it with E6600+ASrock for 300 notes and get a FX62 killer ;)
