I've just preordered the cpu at the moment, I can always drive down to OcUK to pickup the mobo when they have a larger selection in stock.

CPU at the moment going to wait on the Motherboard... see whats the best to get thinking DFI but they have never been too hot with intel

I'm unsure about paying so much for the DFI motherboard but they usually overclock so well. I would like to hear what people have to say about the asus/abit motherboards then from there on i could make a decision.

If i ordered all my bits now i would end up with half a pc sitting there idle while i use this junk machine

due to parts ariving at different times.

Bah... yes I am eager... I have been waiting for Conroe for aaaages... and well I thought this is going to be only computer for the next few years so I'm going for the bestest! and I dont mind waiting for other parts as long as I know that I have the CPU then it wont take too long for the other pieces and I want to get the bestest mboard for this beast of a chip

Intel boards have always been pricey tbh.
