Conroe OC Temp Comparison....

Ineterested to see how others have overclcoked their Conroes to and what kind of temps they are getting with what voltages using what cooler...

Mine...

CPU... 6600
Speed... 3.5Ghz
Voltage... 1.4V
Idel Temp... 35-40C
Full Load... 60ish (using orthos on both cores, 55ish Prime 95 stressing)
Cooler... Scythe Ninja Rev B with Supplied Fan (max 1200rpm)


A bit high for my liking and want to try bring it down slightly...

Comparing temps between one another is pretty pointless as each motherboard will have different calibration settings. Also differnt temp monitoring software reads from different sensors therby giving varying results.
Core Temp or Intel Thermal analysis tool (TAT) are regarded as being more accurate than most.

This is true...but it still gives others some comparison to what other people are getting with similar systems. Maybe we need to use a common software for measuring the temps. I have been using the software supplied with the Gigabyte motherboard (EasyTune..to read temps and voltage) but using Intel TAT seems to give slighly higher temps.

Toxic, can you try a little experiment for me, try pushing on the top of the rev B and see if the temps change, just push on the screw ends, not to hard.

I will give it a try tonight when I get home. Do you think that the Ninja is not getting enough presure on top of the CPU?
