Conroe Ram Question

I know this may sound like a stupid question, i've read a lot of articles about Conroe but can't seem to find any reference to dual channel kit ram.

Would it be possible to buy a 2gb kit and then add another to it later without effecting performance in any way, or does Conroe work correctly as Dual Channel only?

A 2Gb kit would work in dual channel, as they're 2x1Gb modules, and then if you added another 2x1Gb later you'd still be in dual channel.

If you ran with a single module you'd be fine, but would run in single channel, but even in single channel the performance hit on Conroe is really really small, was reading about this on XS this morning.
