Conroe, Return of the Intel?

Back in the day intel was king for gaming cpu's until amd released the k6/7 since then AMD have been the better option for most.

Lately Conroe has been getting a lot of press, is this the return of the "Intel for gaming" And rabbid intel fanboyism of the mid 90's?

The scores on mostly all benchmarks are outstanding to say the least.

I am just waiting for the chip to arrive, I will definately get it.
