Conroe + Sythe Ninja cooling??

The temperature monitor on my motherboard cant possibly be right can it?
According to smart guardian my cpu temp is a degree lower than the room temperature when idling :S

I know the ninja is a nice cooler, i also have a push pull config but even so.
Is myboard giving me funny readings or is this normal?

Same situation. Got Asus P5w DH deluxe (or whatever it is) and my MB temp is usually 10+C higher than my CPU. Quite strange, but with the stock intel cooler on it before this didnt happen, so it must be a better cooler. Right now at idle core temp says 35C for both cores, which is more realistic than the 25C claimed by PC probe. This is all at 1.3V as well and all the voltage/muliplier changing turned off.

EDIT - MB is at 40 during this.

IF youve got a ninja i would consider overclocking a bit to get some more juice out of the 6600 if your not.. then *** was the point in a ninja

download coretemp for a more accurate reading. Mine idles at about 34 on coretemp and less than 30 on other progs
