conroe upgrade - spec me

all i basically want to know is how much will it cost to upgrade an ancient pc to conroe all im looking for is the price of E6600 and the best mobo and best ram, do not need anything else, i want the best overclocking ram so i can get the most out of the E6600, im not interested in any other parts just the 3 mentioned just so i get a rough idea how much it will cost and if it would be worth it just now

nothing, but i would spend if i thought it was worth it, but £600 isnt really worth it over my current pc an x2 4800 @ 2.5ghz i was gonna stick the conroe in this pc and then take the stuff outta this and put it in my ancient pc, ill wait til its more like £300 - £400 and wait til better motherboards come out, also im pretty sure intel are making some more processors for their conroe range which will help bring price down
