conroe vs 'Kentsfield' processor

Big question, within next 3 months i need to decide spend upto £4000 on a new system and do i go for the conroe chip or wait till early 2007 and go for the Kentsfield processor that intel are trying to push out ready ????

I know the old saying if you wait for one then youll wait forever for the next but!!!!!!!!
