conroe worth it for me

By looking at my spec would i see a very big performance gain from my current rig (see sig) to a conroe system, if i was to build a conroe it would be like this:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600
crossfire ready motherboard no idea which one
x1900xtx-from my current rig
x1900xt master-i would get this about 2 months after i got my rig

so would it be worth it or should i hold on as long as possible until vista and dx10 come along, which i think i should do really

no it doesnt its a pure gaming machine which plays on a 1280x1024 monitor........so i think thats my question answered cheers smartarse

I agree unless your struggling you'd be wasting your money, X2 4800+ and X1900XTX are more than enough for that resolution.

If you are running at a meagre 1280* rez why the chuff do you need crossfire? :confused:

Get at least a 20.1" widescreen monitor and then think about upgrading.
