With the release of the 5xxx series cards and DLSS4 being supported on all RTX cards improving image quality and reducing memory usage which can now be easily enabled in other supported games is the app worth installing?

And has the performance degradation that was present in early versions been fixed if using overlays?

I only installed it yesterday for use with my 4090 so can only speak from that perspective but had no issues with performance or whatnot.

I have it installed. Zero performance impact, and it lets your nvidia inspector/dlss swapper stuff work without any interference or overwriting.
I don't know if it's a necessity but it is vastly superior to the older nvidia control app which is like two decades old at this point, and very slow to operate.

i never touch it but had it installed years on a 4090..the optimal game settings are a joke.. like sim cities skylines 2 isn't maxed out on a 4090...

Works well and as intended if you ask me, it's hugely better than the original Nvidia control panel.

It's way better than Geforce Experience, still doesn't have all the same features as the ancient control panel. One day it might be as good as Adrenalin :)
