Our new conservatory build is coming on well now, so I'm at the audio install stage :D
We have had a 3.6 x 5m room added, with "Lounge kit" option that installs a pelmet around the top, which is ideal for down lighting and I thought speakers
Which the wife "signed off" without much effort.... You can just see the marking out I've done....
Debated a while as what to install, either some Linn 106C or these KEF Ci200QS units....

In the end went for the KEF as they have a larger (8") driver and lower frequency response. getting any bass from an in-wall I'm assuming is a challenge anyway.

.

They seem quite nicely made units, with some of KEF's later tweeter tech in them..so fingers crossed.

I'll be stuffing the space behind the speakers with a mixture of Rockwool slabs and acoustic foam.

The room has speaker cables plumbed in ready behind the plaster board and CAT6 network hooked up and working all ready for a future streamer.

Plan to get them working with my old Inca Tech Claymore amp and a DAC or CDP to gauge how it all sounds.
When I'm happy with it I'll drop a integrated streamer in to link in to the house network and current system.

Will be a few weeks before the furniture and sofa etc arrives and blinds for the side window, so it will be a while before I know how it will works out..

These look very nice! I was thinking of some secondhand KEF eggs for our new extension, but perhaps I'll explore some in wall speakers instead. Let us know how they sound!

update, all done, room furnished which makes a huge difference. Sound wise pretty good, clarity and detail is very good, bass isn't bad, but will alway be limited without a proper tuned cabinet. Will experiment with different electronics to decide where to pitch it.
