Considering 690 need your help

Oh dear did not mean to start an argument LOL.

Going 690 anyway thanks. Quick exit

Don't worry mate, this is the graphics forums where there can be a lot of grey area's. These grey area's always turn into some kind of debate good or bad.

Enjoy your gtx690 for all the debate it's still a beast.

At least I know I am aiming for the top of the tree with the 690.

Does anyone know what the build quality is like on the 7990. As I have stated some have said the build quality is questionable

This may not mean anything but the first guy on these forums who bought one had to RMA it for another.

The GTX 690 on the other hand is very rugged, the cooler is made out of metal.

We have only had one person report on his 7990 experience.

First 7990 he bought had 2 of the 3 fans broken.
Second 7990 he bought worked fine but scores just don't add up. It is massively out (very low) to what a 7990 should score with the clocks. Something isn't right at hardware/software level.

This is what AMD get for rushing out cards before the drivers are properly sorted to keep up with nvidia launches, hopefully they wont do the same with the 8000 series
