Considering a couple of upgrades

As above, I'm considering a little bit of an upgrade for my trusty old PC. I'm currently running:

Gigabyte P35c-DS3r, E4500 @ 2.8ghz, 2x1GB Geil Black Dragon 6400, Gecube 3850 OC, Corsair HX520, Vista home premium 32bit

I've only got about £100 to spend, so don't really think that upgrading my GPU is worth it; I could get a 9800gtx, but think that RAM is a more pressing issue. I'm looking at spending £45 on 4gb of the OCZ 8400 Gold.

I could still afford to get an e5200 after doing this; is it worth it over my 4500, considering my relative lack of GPU power? I will probably be building a new machine within the next 12-18 months anyway...

What do you use the PC for?

also 32bit means you wont get the full use of the 4gb

dont bother with either, save up for the new build! processor will not be the one you really want, it'll just be a bit better thasn the one youve got, memory wont get fully used and gpu is too expensive!
